I have a few resolutions for 2018, and I'm going to log here to keep track.
1. Do one act of kindness daily. This can be a charitable donation, a pay it forward, and I want it to be mostly anonymous. Does not have to be a huge deal. Just something small. This does not include charitable donations.
2. Less Diet Coke, more water. 2 bottles of water for every DC consumed.
3. 30 days of no purchases. If it goes well, will continue. This doesn't include necessities, like food, pet care, etc.
a. No new clothing unless I suddenly drop 20 pounds and need pants. Even if something wears out, I have spares of everything.
b. No new shoes, accessories, handbags, etc.
c. No new toys for kids except holidays and birthdays. No candy, no little toys from gas station, with exceptions made for promises/good behavior/rewards.
d. Kids clothes seasonal only, and try to buy minimal.
e. Nothing for the house unless its a need: I know I need a new lamp in the great room because we can't see, but will try to use a gift card.
f. Exceptions for gifts or gift cards. Try to use these.
I'm keeping track here.
